Ebenso beschrieb der Artikel eine Widerstandsgruppe innerhalb der Regierung. Unter dem anonymen Autor soll sich ein hochrangiger Mitarbeiter von 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue verbergen.

Ein Jahr vor der US-Präsidentschaftswahl 2020 ist Anonymous mit einem Buch zurück. In „A Warning“ soll dass Innenleben der Trump-Administration noch detaillierter geschildert werden. Neben dem anonymen hochrangigen Mitarbeiter soll auch Präsident Trump – ungewollt – zu Wort kommen.

Das Werk ist hochumstrittenen. Sollte es sich um den Autor tatsächlich um einen Mitarbeiter des Weißen Hauses handeln, könnte dieser/diese laut Justizministerium gegen die Geheimhaltungsvereinbarung verstoßen haben. Das Weiße Haus bezeichnet das Werk als „Fiktion“. Doch egal wer hinter dem 272 Seiten starken Werk steht, explosiv ist es allemal.
